The
Specialist Collector program is for the collector who
specializes in a
single country or area of stamp collecting. The databases are limited
at the moment but will be expanded in the future. More than one
stamp database can be supported by the program and these can be swapped
on
the fly as you work. No need for any
major configuration changes. The program also supports collectors
from beginner to specialist with customizable data views where the
collector can select which stamps should or should not be included.
Again support for other catalog publishers is built in, simply enter
the details from the publishers catalog and then use that catalog
data to search for stamps etc. The full range of reports and album page
production is also available. Albums designed in the World
Collector can be viewed, edited
and printed in this program as well!
If
you like the Specialist collector you will need to purchase the
database for the program separately. See the items on the left for
available databases.
If
you would like to see more of the programs capabilities then click the
Manual link on the left to download a copy of the Manual in PDF format.
Then if this is the one you want simply
click the button below to
purchase on line or refer to the ordering page.
The cost of the Specialist Collector Program is £15.00 +
£2.50 p&p to most destinations.
The
main form of the Specialist Collector is shown above with a few stamps
selected. This is the main form of the World Collector with the
addition of the extra fields for the specialist. These include the
ability to assign a watermark image to any stamp.
Beginner
to Specialist?
The beginner can start with the simplified
selection of stamps in the database and then add more stamps to the
selection as their interest grows simply by clicking with the mouse. In
the same manner the specialist can deselect stamps from the database
with a click. In this way only the stamps relevant to your collection
are ever searched, but the data on the stamps is never deleted so in
the future if your interest changes you can simply include the stamps
in the searches.
Selecting
Stamps

Clicking
the magnifying glass will display the search criteria form. Simply
enter the selection criteria for the stamps you require and the program
selects the stamps for you. You search on country, theme, year of issue
and even catalog and number once that information is entered.
Themed
Collecting
Assign
any stamp to any theme or any number of themes already defined in the
database or add your own themes and assign stamps to your themes. Once
associated easily search for the stamps in the database that match your
theme.
My
Collection
Simplified
to keep track of how many stamps you have or want in your collection.
Enter the numbers of the selected stamp in your collection or that you
want then click the update button in the My Collection frame. You can
then search for stamps in your collection of that you want. This can
then produce valuation reports or wants lists.
Of
course after adding a dealers price list you can run the valuation
report on your wants to see how much the dealer will charge for all the
selected stamps.
Image
Association

Scan
in
your own Page_Images and have them displayed when you display the stamp
details and then use them in the production of album pages. Or get
Page_Images from the Internet and associate them with your stamps. You can
build your own virtual collection in this way. Simply click the assign
button and then select the image to be
associated with the stamp using the graphical image selection dialog.
Catalog
Definitions
Add
your favorite catalog to the system and then use this catalog for
all database operations. If more than one catalog is entered easily
swap
between them to check other catalog numbers and values for each
stamp. Export the definition file for other users of the program and
import catalog definitions from other users. Use the program features
to mimic the order in which your favorite catalog displays stamps and
even miss out stamps not in your catalog. Enter the catalog values
in the catalogs native currency without having to convert them as you
type. The valuation report will convert them to the output currency
based on the exchange rates you enter. To add a new catalog simply
enter the catalog details including currency then assign catalog
numbers to stamps in the database.
Or
you can enter catalog details on single stamps straight from the main
form. Just select the catalog of choice and enter the catalog details
and click the update button in the catalog frame. Clear erroneous or
unwanted data in the same way.
Album
Page Production
Check
out the Album
Designer page for more info. This program has all the
features of the Album Designer with the added support from the
database. This allows selected stamps to be dragged to the album
definition window and added to the definition automatically updating
any links to Page_Images already assigned in the database for you to use or
not as you choose. Or browse your computer for an image to use for the
stamp allowing you to add watermark Page_Images etc to the album page.
Reports

The
reports section allows you to report on the stamps selected producing
Wants lists or valuation reports depending on your selections. The
valuation report will provide you with a valuation of your collection
based on the the selected catalog, once the definition is loaded,
and will output the value in your choice of currency whatever the
currency of the original catalog. You can select a different catalog
or price list after the report is loaded and the values will update
automatically. Use the weightings section to apply correction factors
to the values from the catalog to obtain more accurate valuations.
Print the reports or save to your hard drive to process them
further.
